Here is a truly impressive wine, stunningly elegant, from a limited production of just 1,900 cases, the result of a collaborative effort between winemaker Jason Goeltz and winegrower Stephen Dorcich. The philosophy of their winery is simple: produce the best wines from select vineyards with unique attributes.
This Merlot was produced from grapes grown on their estate vineyard using California Sustainable Winegrowing and winemaking practices in the Santa Clara Valley.
Deep ruby black in color with aromas of plum and cedar, the wine has a supple texture, balanced and dry yet fruity, with flavors of berry, spice and mint tied together by a thread of rich vanilla. As the wine’s velvety tannins fade, a delightfully smooth finish lingers on the palate.
An uncommonly table-friendly wine that pairs beautifully with roast chicken, pork or duck, full-flavored cheese, grilled mushrooms.
