This is the debut of a California white wine blend from one of our favorite wineries. Crisp and light with a wonderful natural acidity due to its 85% French Colombard content. Opens with inviting fruit and floral aromas of white peach and sweet mango with subtle touches of fresh jasmine blossom and white chai tea. Ripe, juicy flavors include nectarine and grapefruit. A bright, slightly off-dry flavor profile lingers well through a clean, refreshing finish.
Bayshore is produced from grapes grown in California vineyards that were orginally focused on dessert wines until a French wine importer, whose family had created fine table wines from the same grapes in France, saw the potential and used these grapes to launch her own line of food-friendly, table wine. Her wines have realized great success throughout the United States, and today grapes from this vineyard are on strict allocation to a handful of winemakers.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairs well with light salads, oysters and seared halibut, as well as zesty foods such as a spicy tuna rolls.
