2015 Yapa Carménère
Carménère is the predominant grape of Chile. It flourishes widely in the many micro climates with in this narrow country. Hot days in the valley and cool nights puled in from the pacific ocean ensure these grapes ripen steady to ensure balanced flavors. Yapa Carménère displays a violet red color and the aromas of fresh red fruit—raspberries and cherries—along with notes of herbs and toasted coffee beans. The aromas follow through on the palate with red fruits, spices and bittersweet chocolate. So no matter which side of the country you live, whether it be coastal or inland, you can find joy in this fun and flexible wine from Chile. Serve this wine with a zesty pork dish, or a hearty tomato seafood stew.
