Cala De Poeti Morellino di Scansano- Tuscany, Italy
Cala de Poeti Morellino di Scansino is the quintessential wine from Maremma, a beautiful area of the Tuscan coast that is known as Italy’s Wild West. This fruity and dry red has a voluptuous texture, with fragrances of fresh cherries and plums. Made from hand-harvested grapes grown in a restricted production area between the rivers Ombrone and Albegna, Cala de Poeti Morellino di Scansino is ruby red, with fruity with notes of cherries, blackberries, and violets. It has a great complexity, with soft tannins that make it the ideal match for grilled red meat, lasagna, and mature cheeses.
