2015 Tremo Maceracion Carbonica Tempranillo - Rioja, Spain

Carbonic Maceration is a cutting edge winemaking method where a carbon dioxide rich environment is used to ferment juice inside the grape. This results in very fruity wines with very little mouth-drying tannins. While most popular in France, Bodega Luis Alegre is using Carbonic Maceration in Spain on masterfully grown Tempranillo and Viura grapes for a juicy wine with an aromatic nose of raspberry, cherry and slight violet notes. Soft acidity provides just enough balance for fresh fruit notes that meet licorice on the finish.

Multiple Award Winner: 92-point Gold Medal, 2016 Sommelier Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition; Bronze Medal, 2016 San Francisco International Wine Competition

2014 Nebla Old Vine Garnacha - Spain

Known as Grenache in France, Garnacha wine originated in Spain, where it is sought out for its juicy and smooth profile. 2014 Nebla Old Vine Garnacha was grown on 35-year-old vines in Valencia. Aromas of red fruits and notes of smoke and cedar begin on the nose and are joined on the palate by fleshy plum and a hint of black olive, leading into a long, berry-laden finish. We love this resolutely Mediterranean wine with paella and roasted meats.

2015 Hoya de Cadenas Night Havest White Blend - Spain

This blend of Muscat, Viura, Chardonnay, and Verdejo from Valencia, Spain is a lovely golden color in the glass. It excites with intense aromas of exotic fruit and a soft richness on the palate, where honeyed notes of citrus and apple lead to an unctuous finish and pleasant aftertaste.

Multiple Award Winner: Double Gold Medal, 2016 WSWA Tasting Competition; 87-point Silver Medal, 2017 Monterey International Wine Competition; Silver Medal, 2017 International Eastern Wine Competition

Your Earth Day Mixed Case includes one bottle each of:

This exciting new vintage explodes with flavors of strawberry, plum, and black currant that ride along on soft tannins, making for a fruity wine that we love with pizza, burgers, and Mexican food.

Val di Botte Toscana Rosso I.G.T. - Tuscany, Italy

This central Italian red boasts up-front flavors of raspberry and strawberry with hints of roasted pepper and fresh herbs. The finish is light to medium with a smooth tannin structure.
