Cuvèe Joëlle Malbec et Merlot

Among the many grapes that originate from France, two come to mind that have been known to craft stunning wines. Malbec has a dark, rustic nature and Merlot with its fruit forward, soft, and herbaceous character are two wines, that when put together, craft a unique wine flavor. Cuvèe Joëlle is a perfectly balanced blend of Malbec and Merlot fusing flavors of red plum, raspberry, blackberry, vanilla and fresh herbs. This wine is meant to be paired with fun and exciting dishes like bacon-wrapped blue cheese stuffed dates, pungent cheeses, and bacon blue cheese burgers.

Cepage Merlot

This wine is round and fruity and expresses the character of its French soil. Made exclusively from this emblematic grape by legendary wine producer Bernard Magrez, its aromatic elegance makes it the ideal partner for red meats and sharp cheeses. 

Val di Botte Sangiovese Puglia

The region of Puglia makes up the “heel” and “back of the boot” region of Italy. It is here that the Sangiovese grapes share much of the spotlight like it does in Tuscany. With unlimited coastal access, the warm Southern Italian sun and cool breezes throughout the day and night, produce balanced grapes that have big fruit and light. This combination is perfect for the acids of the tomato-centric cuisine of Puglia. Pastas, pizza, you name it. It works well. Val di botte Sangiovese flaunts flavors of red currant, raspberry, and aromatics reminiscent of potpourri and elements of clay. We recommend decanting for 30 minutes or so to lets the flavors evolve.

Della Flora Nero d'Avola

Italy is home to almost 350 different wine grape varieties, giving wine lovers a plethora of styles to choose from. One of our favorites, Nero d’Avola from Sicily has found a home in our cellar. These wines are bold in nature. After all, Nero d’Avola also is known as the “Black Grape of Avola.” When crafted well like the Della Flora Nero d’Avola, they yield a bold wine with lots of dark blackberry fruits, plum, sweet and smoky nuances and hints of spice. This combination in perfect harmony is a blessing on our palates with its smooth and sultry finish. Enjoy this wine with hearty stews, gamy meats, and our favorite, bacon buffalo cheeseburgers. 

Anta da Serra Red Blend

A blend of native grapes to the country of Portugal, Anta De Serra is for red wine lovers who love lush bold fruit with a full mouth feel while retaining the characteristics of the terrior. What you get is deep colored wine with full robust flavors of blackberry, raspberry, and cherry, paired perfectly with firm tannins and a soft but full mouth feel. More and more, we are finding that Portuguese wines are becoming a hit of the party as they evolve into producing wines of world-wide fan fare. More recently in fact, Wine Spectator's number one wine of 2014 was in fact, from Portugal. 

Castillo D' Albai Rioja

Spain’s most famous wine region is renowned for creating top quality wines with exceptional ageing ability. It lies in northern Spain, along the River Ebro from which the region’s name is derived. Elegance and poise are the hallmarks of wines made here. Rioja’s different soil types, together with the use of modern and traditional growing practices, allow winemakers to produce a wide range of wines with different personalities, although always within the framework of the Denominación de Origen Calificada (D.O.C.) regulations. Castillo de Albali flaunts deep cherry red with purple reflections and powerful aromas of red fruits, strawberries and flowers on the nose. Fresh and smooth on the palate, while the fruit intensity mirrors the aromas and includes lovely long finish. A wonderful wine to compliment a range of dishes including red meat, pasta, cheese and paella, and some fish dishes like “bacalao a la riojana”.
