2013 Longchase Cabernet
This wine has the classic profile of a California Cabernet, with a soft yet tight tannin structure. There are no hard edges to this velvety, harmonious and very well-balanced red. Enjoy the ripe black fruit flavors of blueberry and cassis with a juicy steak and feel the cool breeze off the Pacific Ocean. California Cabernet’s are regarded nearly as highly as their French cousins, especially after the famed 1976 Judgment of Paris when a California Cab beat out some of Bordeaux’s best in a blind test by French experts. It’s also the second most planted grape in Washington State, after Merlot, and is also planted in Arizona, New York, Texas and Virginia. Cabernet wines are dense, dark and tannic and many have a strong black fruit flavor.
2012 Geja's Big Bold Red
This wine is a red blend with a fierce attitude that forces you to sit up and pay attention. Old-vine Zinfandel grapes take the lead, giving the Big Bold Red a classic “big” wine taste. The Zin’s presence makes this a dry table wine with jammy black fruits. The real spine in the blend comes from the Petite Sirah’s pepper notes that help the Big Bold Red find it’s structure. Add in the red fruits from the Syrah and we have a truly remarkable wine on our hands.
2011 Sanderson Pinot Noir
The 2011 Sanderson Ranch Pinot Noir is a soft and round treat, boasting aromas of ripe berries, cherry and violet. An invigorating vintage with pronounced flavors of cherry-berry, tobacco and herb, one sip of this crisp Pinot will transport you instantly to the gorgeous Central Coast of California. The regions cool climate is apparent with every pour, as the wine seems to remain consistently fresh.
2013 James & Bell Zinfandel
Zinfandel is recognized as America’s Heritage Wine. Its historical association with the Wild West, the Gold Rush and rugged individualists taming rugged territory, captured the imagination of 100s of winegrowing, winemakers and thousands of enthusiasts. Once only planted in California, today its popularity has sprung new plantings across the United States and around the world. A vineyard in Lodi, where some of the earliest plantings date from the Gold Rush, is the source for most of this blend.
