Pavillon La Tourelle Bordeaux
The lands of Pavillon La Tourelle draw their unique character from the inimitable terroir of Bordeaux. A blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has a vivid red color. The wine has medium depth, and reveals clean but intense flavors of cherry and blackcurrant with a fleshy mouth feel. Pavillon la Tourelle is an enjoyable, supple, smooth wine with an easy finish on the palate.
Vista De Noche Malbec
Drinks profoundly, with dark fruits such as blackberry with herbaceous notes, and that a nice smoky overlay, destined to be best friends with many grilled meats. It’s full bodied, has a personality, and has a finish that can please the wine drinker in all of us.
Leaping Horse Cabernet Sauvignon
This bright Cabernet Sauvignon from California's Lodi region is one of our newest arrivals. We tried this wine and we were taken by surprise. Cabs have the historical trait of being layered and silky with the dark fruit that we all love. Sometimes, however, that heavier profile is something that we are not looking for in a wine and even though we love the fruit flavors, we need more pop and a slightly lighter body. When Leaping Horse Cabernet fell into our laps, we immediately knew this wine was filling a void our customers were longing for. Currants and Black Cherry intertwine with blueberry flavors with subtle nuisances of vanilla, mint, and eucalyptus, but with a lighter body and that is not only approachable, but very smooth and delicious.
Granite Ridge Pinotage
Pinotage has an interesting history. Originating as a genetically engineered hybrid of Pinot Noir and Cinsault (known as Hermitage in South Africa, thus the name), it came into existence back in the 1920s. Thinking the hybrid would make very good wine, the initial results were not good. If mishandled, Pinotage can make a wine that has notes of acetone, certainly not something anyone would think to drink. However, when handled well, it can make a truly unique light red wine. And if anyone in South Africa would know how to handle a grape, it would be Alex Dale and the Winery of Good Hope. Their work with the grape is a total success. It truly brings out the aspects of both of the parents of Pinotage. It has notes of cherry from Pinot Noir and some spiciness from the Cinsault. Equally important, Alex avoids anything that reminds someone of the bad parts of Pinotage. Part of this was using a very light crush and it was delicious. You'll taste some red cherries, violets and a nice juicy palate with balance, length and a bit of funky spice. Enjoy slightly chilled and you will easily able to drink a whole bottle.
Val di Botte Nero D' Avola
Nestled off the coast of Southern Italy, the terroir of the island of Sicily produces wines so unique, it is nearly impossible to duplicate their charismatic style. The prominent grape of Sicily, Nero d’Avola, also known as the “Black Grape of Avola” crafts wines that are bold in nature, with sweet fruit flavors, subtly sweet smoky notes, and nuances of spice that actually become sweeter with decanting. When sipping on Val di Botte Nero d’Avola, you’ll notice a strong presence of blackberry and plum, with hints of licorice and chile pepper. Try pairing this wine with unique dishes like oxtail stews and other gamy meats and anything with applewood-smoked bacon.
Sierra Trails Old Vine Zinfandel
Coming to us from some of the oldest Zinfandel plantings in California, the Sierra Trails Old Vine Zinfandel is a complex wine offering aromas of ripe berry, dried plum and red currants. These remarkable fragrances are echoed in the flavoring where a hint tobacco, black pepper spice and sweet oak lifts the fruit and carry them through a lingering finish.
Anta da Serra Red Blend
A blend of native grapes to the country of Portugal, Anta De Serra is for red wine lovers who love lush bold fruit with a full mouthfeel, while retaining the characteristics of the terroir. What you get is deep colored wine with full robust flavors of blackberry, raspberry, and cherry, paired perfectly with firm tannins and a soft, but full, mouthfeel.
Spencer Family Reserve Cask Red
Fill up your cart with this deliciously smooth, robust red. Sweet black fruit aromas added to layers of ripe black cherry and plum flavors reflect a heavenly marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Syrah. Forward fruit flavors and a velvety texture make this a go-to red wine for every day enjoyment.
Black Fox Cabernet Sauvignon
With its flavors of raspberry, cherry, with hints of cassis, and cedar, Black Fox dances on your tongue with its vibrant tannins, light mouth feel, and a finish that doesn’t linger too long.
Monarch Glen Merlot
This is a wine that flaunts aromas of tangy cherry and sweet berries, with flavors of berry, plum, and spices. A tasty wine that finishes clean and dry. So what food to pair with this wonderful wine? Roasted chicken rubbed with Herbs De Provence or grilled rack of lamb with fresh mint.
Cuvèe Joëlle Malbec Et Merlot
Among the many grapes that originate from France, two come to mind that have been known to craft stunning wines. Malbec has a dark, rustic nature and Merlot with its fruit forward, soft, and herbaceous character are two wines, that when put together, craft a unique wine flavor. Cuvèe Joëlle is a perfectly balanced blend of Malbec and Merlot fusing flavors of red plum, raspberry, blackberry, vanilla and fresh herbs. This wine is meant to be paired with fun and exciting dishes like bacon-wrapped blue cheese stuffed dates, pungent cheeses, and bacon blue cheese burgers.
Altos De Tamaron Joven
Ribera del Duero is in a never-ending competition to be Spain's greatest wine making region, producing wines of impeccable quality. This flat and rocky region provides the perfect amount of sunlight for this ripe and fruit driven red. Altos De Tamaron is a wine with deep cherry red and purple tones. Immerse your senses with aromas and flavors of ripe blackberry, licorice and spices. The finish is long and the mouthfeel is silky and fruity. Enjoy this Spanish red with grilled flank steak and roasted tomatoes to bring out the near perfect acid structure.
