Vila Nova Red Duoro Blend
The Duoro region of Portugal is in the spotlight because in 2014 it produced 4 of the top ten wines in the world as rated by Wine Spectator Magazine. Now in the forefront of wine lover’s minds, the wines from this region are becoming more and more sought after. A blend of Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, Vila Nova is a fresh red wine that has a dark, deep and intense ruby color, with a nose dominated by fruity aromas that carry through. It is well-balanced with silky tannins finishing long and balanced with silky tannins, finishing long and fruit-filled. The grapes from Vila Nova Douro Red wine are from the oldest wine region in the world. Harvest is conducted 100% by hand from vines that are 20-to- 30 years old, with the best grapes of each of the above varietals chosen for fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. Fifty percent of the finished wine is then aged for six months in used 400 liter French oak barrels. This wine is ideally served at room temperature with light meat dishes, such as pork, or flavorful, hard cheeses, such as Italian cow and sheep’s milk cheeses.
Vina Albali Reserva Tempranillo
Vibrant cherry red color, with violet highlights and bursting with ripe fruit flavors of cherry and strawberry, combined with a perfumed nose. It drinks well, with a fine structure and a smooth finish. We recommend opening the bottle and walking away for a half hour allowing the wine to breath.
Grenache is a varietal grown around the world and in the country of Spain, it goes by the name Garnacha. Each country where Grenache is grown, it expresses the unique terroir and shows different flavor profiles. For Spain and specifically the grapes in Buscado, Garnacha produces intense and pleasant aromas of licorice and wild berries with slight mineral undertones. Flavors of ripe red fruit, fresh thyme and hints of minerals linger on the finish of this silky and full-bodied expression of Garnacha.
Torre Di Vil Vinho Verde
Vinho Verde is on a serious hot streak since 2014. This light and refreshing white wine from Portugal is a must-have for almost any occasion. Torre Di Vil Vinho Verde is light pale yellow in color and this refreshing white wine has a nose and palate that shows fresh fruit, such as peach, with hints of orange blossom. There is a streak of minerality that makes for a bracing wine, with a well-balanced acidity and a freshness that carries through to the crisp, clean finish.
Porta De Ravessa White Wine Blend
Porta Da Ravessa is a white blend of Roupeiro, Fernao Pires and Arinto varieties. With these grapes Porta Da Ravessa has fruity and floral aromas that lead into rich, dry flavors citrus and stone fruit with vibrant acidity and a clean finish.
A fresh tasting white wine, full of tropical fruit notes and flavors like gooseberry and melon, with a rich mouthfeel and a long leisurely finish make this wine absolutely perfect. It will make a beautiful pair for seafood, tapas or vegetarian cuisine. Simply fantastico!
