Aramis Red Blend
A stylistic red blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Tannat, some of the noble grapes that populate the southern region of France. When these three grapes get blended together, the results are outstanding. Cherry, raspberry, and blackberry combined with pepper, clove, and hints of earthiness round out the flavor profile in this French beauty. This a food lover's wine, pairing it with foods that have spice.
Rivers End Reserve Merlot
From two of the oldest vineyards along California's North Coast region where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean. The region known for ideal climate promotes slow, even maturing and great flavor development. A wonderful wine from the River’s End winemakers with ripe berry fruit flavors and aromas with a nice touch of oak. An amazingly versatile choice for serving with grilled duck, turkey, chicken, braised lamb, pork or beef – and a nice partner for dishes featuring a rich tomato sauce.
Wines produced in Colchagua Valley, Chile are outstanding. The unique climate and balance of cool air and warm sunshine of this region produces wines of concentration and finesse. After all, this region was voted Wine Region of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine and we are constantly searching for our next great find from the area and this time, we found Cantavida Syrah. A Balanced wine with concentrated fruit of raspberry, spices, fresh herbs, and white pepper, with a slight hint of vanilla. A truly exuberant wine that leaves a lasting impression.
Cantavida Pinot Noir
The winemakers at Cantavida believe in excellence, not cutting corners, and doing things right the first time. It is these kinds of ideals that lead Cantavida to make excellent wines vintage after vintage. Located in Leyda Valley in central Chile, an ideal climate for growing Pinot Noir, this wine shines with lean, exquisite fruit flavors of strawberry and hints of spice. Cantavida Pinot Noir has a level of intensity that is pleasing to the senses and a true delight to drink. Serve this Pinot Noir slightly chilled and serve with foods with fresh herbs and spice like al pastor tacos and blackened salmon.
Burke Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is king of the noble red wine grapes and the primary grape of many top vineyards in Bordeaux, as well as California. The 2013 vintage is a complex, sumptuous wine with a structure that frames flavors of black current jam, cranberry, and black cherry. A thread of cedar and tobacco runs through the finish creating a full-bodied complement to lamb or beef dishes, cheese, or even chocolate. This is one of those versatile little treasures that is such a great value at this price, you’ll want to stock up for the months ahead.
Terres Blendes Gamay
A light bodied red wine from regions bordering Burgundy in France, this obscure grape is actually a cousin of the famed grape, Pinot Noir. To be exact, Gamay is a clone of the Pinot Noir grape that has evolved and is the primary grape in Beaujolais wine, known for being very light and flavorful. Terres Blondes did a great job bring this wine to life in their latest offering. Very light and flavorful, this wine has prominent strawberry and cherry flavors with a very subtle hint of candied berries. A perfect wine to serve chilled around 54 degrees as the seasons turn warmer and enjoy sipping this light red on the patio.
Center Cut Merlot
Merlot has seen a rise in consumption in the past few years and wine drinkers are taking notice. Merlot is a versatile grape and a staple in some of the world's finest wines, if Bordeaux has taught us a thing or two. Well, we found a new producer from Central California that is a cut above the rest. An incredibly versatile wine, Center Cut Merlot offers up rich aromas of dried fig, black currant, and cinnamon. Flavors of anise, licorice, and blackberry jam dominate the palate with notes of clove and caraway.
