This soft and subtle French red comes to us from Coteaux Bourguignons, a newly designated region that includes Burgundy. 2014 Jean Boisselier Coteaux Bourguignons AOP features Gamay grapes, a member of the Pinot Noir family that produce light-bodied reds like this easy-drinking summer favorite. Pour a glass and enjoy prominent strawberry and raspberry flavors followed by a subtle hint of black pepper. This wine is delicious chilled to around 54 degrees, especially when paired with poultry, rabbit, tomato sauces, and steamed vegetables. The soft tannins even complement fish, for those who love reds over everything.
