Enjoying with tomato-based Italian dishes and dried meats creates the ultimate Dynamic Duo of the culinary crafts. Don’t believe us? Pick up a bottle and see for yourself why Chianti is the most consumed, talked, and written about wine from Italy.
River's End Cabernet Sauvignon
Monterey’s Salinas Valley, the home of this delicious Cabernet Sauvignon, receives intense sunshine throughout the day. At night, cool air funnels in from the Pacific Ocean, giving the vines optimal balance to fully ripen. With all these gifts from Mother Nature, the end result is a Cabernet expressive in flavor. The careful process of crafting this wine by hand has led to flavors of black currant, cherry, red bell pepper, and baking spices. All in all, River’s End Cabernet Sauvignon is a youthful wine that drinks full and is satisfying all around.
Pretium Red Blend
The region of Buzet AOC in Southwest France is known for producing quality Bordeaux style blends. The primary grapes of Buzet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Merlot are great by themselves, but when blended together, the results are wines with deep personalities. Pretium is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Malbec with grapes only from vineyards in Buzet, located along the Garonne River. The winemaking team combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern equipment—a fusion of ideology in winemaking that yields an elegant profile of red fruits and spice in a well-balanced mouthfeel and a delicate finish.
Abbazia Moscato Vino Dolce I.G.T.
A fun and spritzy white wine from Lombardia province in Northern Italy. With concentrated flavors from the sun-soaked days and cool nights, the result is a beautifully floral and sweet white wine that is ideal for an aperitif or with a delectable dessert.
Cépage Sauvignon Blanc
There are many reasons to be a fan of Sauvignon Blanc. It is light, refreshing, vibrant and pairs well with so many situations. It is grown all over the world and within each of the small regions, Sauvignon Blanc grapes adopt a unique style each their own. Cépage Sauvignon Blanc is from France, the origin of Sauvignon Blanc where the ideal weather allows for grapes to adopt a very expressive style. Revealing notes of citrus and exotic fruits, Cépage is perfectly balanced with a sense of freshness and a lingering finish. This wine is drinks brilliantly on its own but when paired with fresh fish and creative salads, it truly shines.
Bear Hug Winemaker Select Chardonnay
Chardonnay is the world’s most versatile white grape with regards to the different characteristics it can display in the wine. It is highly dependent on two things—the growing region, and when it is picked. After that, the winemaker can choose different processes to shape the profile even more. The eventual end result is found in the bottle, making it difficult to hit the bullseye on the Chardonnay that best fits you. Within lots there are special groupings that winemakers covet more than others. These lots are isolated and bottled separately, also known as Winemaker Select. With this in mind, we offer our sister label of our ever-popular California Cabernet, Bear Hug Winemaker Select California Chardonnay. From the first sip, you will find flavors of green apple, nectarine, honeysuckle, and melon, all in a perfect harmonious balance.
