At the heart of Château Fombrauge lies a beautiful monastery that originally housed Carthusian monks. The Château is one of the oldest Saint-Emilion wineries, with the first harvest taking place in 1599. In the 18th century, the Dumas family Fombrauge refined the Château’s celebrated viniculture. Now, it is the largest vineyard in St. Emilion, producing enviable wines like this refined, elegant Bordeaux, which pleases connoisseurs with layers of dark fruit and roasted herbs, and very fine tannins.
2006 Chateau La Tour Carnet Cuvee Sire (x4)

Named after the medieval squire who helped his Lord resist the French monarchy at the end of the Hundred Years’ War, Château La Tour Carnet played a major role in the development of Medoc vineyards. It produces wine of the foremost quality, and gained Grand Cru classification in 1855.
