Award Winner: Silver Medal, San Francisco International Wine Competition 2016
Nguilleu Merlot - Central Valley, Chile
This crowd-pleasing Merlot hails from Chile’s Valle Central, the newest international wine hotspot. The flavors are soft and fruit-driven, making a wonderful companion for a meal, or for your favorite companions.
El Portal Red Blend - California
One sip of this bold and flavorful red, and we can see the landscape near the California coast: ocean breezes, rich soil, clear sun… 2015 El Portal Red Blend balances Zinfandel and Merlot with vivid Syrah to create a food-friendly blend with flavors of black cherry, followed by notes of vanilla and mocha.
Voluptueux Malbec - Cahors, France
Revel in this elegant French Malbec. It’s smooth and fruity, loaded with flavors of black fruits and spices. 2015 Voluptueux Malbec hails from the home of Malbec, southwest France’s Cahors, which is located on a u-shaped bend in the beautiful River Lot. This wine comes alive when paired with red meats and cheeses.
Haut Vignac Red Blend - Perigord, Southwest France
The grapes in 2015 Haut Vignac Périgord are grown near the Dordogne River in beautiful southwest France, and produce an attractive, ruby red wine. This thoughtful blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc engages the drinker with fruity and pleasant aromas. The first sip delights with a soft and fruity flavor, rounded out by soft tannins. Indulge in this wine whenever you want to savor something beautiful, but be sure to keep a bottle or two on hand next time you’re enjoying grilled food.
Della Flora Nero d'Avola - Sicily, Italy
Of the almost 350 varieties of wine grapes in Italy, Nero d’Avola from Sicily is our favorite. When crafted well, like in Della Flora Nero d’Avola, they yield a bold red wine with lots of blackberry and plum flavors, followed by sweet and smoky nuances, hints of spice, and a smooth and sultry finish. Enjoy this wine with hearty stews, gamy meats, and our favorite: bacon buffalo cheeseburgers.
