Flaunting a lively cherry red color with great intensity, the flavors are clean and fruity with pronounced cherry, spice, and fresh herbs on the palate with a rounded mouth feel and supple tannins. A traditional style and character shine in this charming Bordeaux produced from 70% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Val Di Botte Chianti D.O.C.G.
Chianti is a wine region inside Tuscany in Central Italy. If you don’t know it by name, you might know it by its reputation. I’m not talking about the wine you get in neighborhood Italian restaurants with the woven baskets caressing the bottles. I’m talking about Chianti in all its glory, the Chianti region that makes wines that rival the best in the world. Val Di Botte Chianti is 85% Sangiovese and a blend of Canaiolo Nero and Cabernet Sauvignon. The results of this blend are intense, but refined, with flavors of wild berries and spicy notes intertwining. This fruity, spicy, slightly smoky, and generally pleasant red wine is a delight to have at the dinner table. It's versatile with food, getting along with everything from cheese and charcuterie, hearty pastas, pizza, and meat and fish dishes in the Tuscan style.
Coastal Passage Pinot Noir
A very aromatically expressive wine, with lychee, cranberry, cola, raspberry, and red cherries abounding. Hints of cinnamon and clove, wildflowers and cacao, are present, too. This wine has a bright, food-friendly profile. The perfect companion to any foods with spice.
Marcel Malbec I.G.P. Comté Tolosan
Nestled in the French Countryside about an hour and a half east of Bordeaux is the picturesque region of Cahors. This area located in the middle of the Pyrénées in South West France is home to brothers Pascal and Jean-Marc Verhaeghe. The main property, Château du Cèdre is where the Verhaeghe family produces Marcel Malbec, a robust and rich Malbec from this talented winemaking family whose motto is to “move forward, experience new ways.” Farmed with no herbicides and chemicals since 1990, these grapes yields a savory but slightly tart flavor profile of plums, blackberry, and smoked meats. Possessing a solid structure and firm tannins, Marcel Malbec is structured and concentrated, yielding a deeper more complex wine.
Castillo D' Albai Rioja
Spain’s most famous wine region is renowned for creating top quality wines with exceptional ageing ability. It lies in northern Spain, along the River Ebro from which the region’s name is derived. Elegance and poise are the hallmarks of wines made here. Rioja’s different soil types, together with the use of modern and traditional growing practices, allow winemakers to produce a wide range of wines with different personalities, although always within the framework of the Denominación de Origen Calificada (D.O.C.) regulations. Castillo de Albali flaunts deep cherry red with purple reflections and powerful aromas of red fruits, strawberries and flowers on the nose. Fresh and smooth on the palate, while the fruit intensity mirrors the aromas and includes lovely long finish. A wonderful wine to compliment a range of dishes including red meat, pasta, cheese and paella, and some fish dishes like “bacalao a la riojana”.
A stylistic red blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Tannat, some of the noble grapes that populate the southern region of France. When these three grapes get blended together, the results are outstanding. Cherry, raspberry, and blackberry combined with pepper, clove, and hints of earthiness round out the flavor profile in this French beauty.
Qapay Reserve Sauvignon Blanc
Qapay Sauvignon Blanc is a classic example of what can be done with this popular variety in Central Chile. The grapes are exposed to wonderful sun and an almost greenhouse-like regularity of dry, hot days and dry, cool nights throughout the growing season--near perfect ripening conditions. The result is a clean, citrusy, lean and fresh wine. The nose is full of grapefruit and green apple followed by zesty flavors of green fruits, lime, and floral notes and a long, crisp finish. Outstanding as an aperitif or a cocktail wine, it is also ideal with salads using arugula, fennel, or roasted bell peppers, and is a refreshing companion for richer white meats like pork and lobster.
Vina San White Blend
La Mancha is the land of Hillside casas, Don Quixote, and truly special wine. White wine varieties flourish here and Viña San Juan has produced another fantastic wine this vintage. A blend of Chardonnay, Verdejo, and Viura, the result is a bright yellow colour with green hues. This wine has wonderful fresh aromas of herbs, apple, peach and tropical fruit. This is reflected on the palate and creates an elegant wine with a lovely long silky finish. A perfect pairing with tapas and a range of Spanish seafood dishes including fish with butter sauce, pasta and cheese.
This wine is fresh, with flavors of green apple, nectarine, and juicy melon. Only a small touch of oak, this wine remains crisp and refreshing with a perfect amount of linger in the finish. Purely delicious Chardonnay, a gem of a find from California.
Luca Bosio Cortese di Gavi
In the Northwest Italian region of Gavi, inside of Piedmont, the Cortese grape is a household name. However, in the United States, it is a little known. Capable of producing highly enjoyable white wines, the Cortese grapes for this wine come from Bosio Estate vineyards, located in Gavi village, at 100 to 200 ft. above sea level. The nose and palate on this very pale white wine show clean and crisp floral overtones, with captivating hints of pineapple, apricot and peach. This wine is a perfect accompaniment to white meats like chicken and pork, as well as white-flesh fishes. It’s a real winner and should be a favorite those who love refreshing and clean white wines.
Domaine du Menard White Blend
Domaine De Ménard has been producing wines and cultivating vineyards in Gascogne since 1920. Since then, generations of family winemakers have produced wines and numerous awards have been earned in international wine competitions every year. Located in Southern France, this white blend represents the style of vibrant French wines that come from this region. A blend of Colombard, Sauvignon, and Gros Manseng, all local varieties, this wine is aromatic, elegant, and crisp, with tropical fruit notes, pineapple, and grapefruit, with subtle green flavors of bell pepper. We recommend this wine with any of your favorite shellfish dishes.
Anta da Serra White Wine
In 2014, Portugal was home to the #1 wine in the world as rated by Wine Spectator Magazine. So it is easy to say that they are on the verge of being a powerhouse of wine quality that rivals premier regions like Napa Valley and Bordeaux, France. Portugal has some unique grapes that, when blended together, produce awesome results. Here is a unique white blend of Roupeiro, Fernao Pires and Arinto grapes. They produce a wine with deliciously fruity and floral aromas that lead into rich, dry flavors of citrus and stone fruit with vibrant acidity and a clean finish.
