The 8 Styles of Wine Reds Case
Your 8 Styles of Wine Reds Case includes two bottles each of
Coastal Passage Pinot Noir
A very aromatically expressive wine, with lychee, cranberry, cola, raspberry, and red cherries abounding. Hints of cinnamon and clove, wildflowers and cacao, are present, too. This wine has a bright, food-friendly profile. The perfect companion to any foods with spice.
Della Flora Sangiovese I.G.T
Sangiovese is to Italy as Cabernet is to California. Like Cabernet in California, a couple hundred miles can yield totally different styles of wine. But even with stylistic differences, you can always count on the wine bringing you the flavors you desire. For Sangiovese, Puglia is the sister region next to Tuscany, and that is where we found this Della Flora Sangiovese. Lighter than its Tuscan counterpart, the flavors of red currant, raspberry, earthy clay, and aromatic influences of lavender are present. The wine will pair perfectly with tomatoes as the acids from the tomato and the wine dance in sync like the Tango, so make sure to get that pasta sauce simmering. We recommend decanting the wine for 30-45 minutes before enjoying. Salute!
Fair Oaks Zinfandel
A claret style Zinfandel with full, jammy flavors of blackberry, raspberry, black cherry and wild berry flavors with a hint of black pepper and anise. A nice touch of acidity makes a clean, food friendly finish. Our expert wine panel enjoyed it from appetizers through to dessert and wished they had more.
Val di Botte Nero D' Avola
Nestled off the coast of Southern Italy, the terroir of the island of Sicily produces wines so unique, it is nearly impossible to duplicate their charismatic style. The prominent grape of Sicily, Nero d’Avola, also known as the “Black Grape of Avola” crafts wines that are bold in nature, with sweet fruit flavors, subtly sweet smoky notes, and nuances of spice that actually become sweeter with decanting. When sipping on Val di Botte Nero d’Avola, you’ll notice a strong presence of blackberry and plum, with hints of licorice and chile pepper. Try pairing this wine with unique dishes like oxtail stews and other gamy meats and anything with applewood-smoked bacon.
Vista De Noche Malbec
Drinks profoundly, with dark fruits such as blackberry with herbaceous notes, and that a nice smoky overlay, destined to be best friends with many grilled meats. It’s full bodied, has a personality, and has a finish that can please the wine drinker in all of us.
Les Chartrons Bordeaux Rouge
A charming and indulgent wine that is ideal as an aperitif or for a casual meal amongst friends. Flaunting a lively cherry red color with great intensity, the flavors are clean and fruity, with pronounced cherry, spice, and fresh herbs on the palate, a rounded mouthfeel, and supple tannins. Traditional style and character shine in this charming Bordeaux produced from 70% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.
