The Classics Mixed Case
Your Classics mixed case includes
Burke Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Made in the classic style, this wine serves up blackberry, currant, fresh herbs, and a hint of cedar with the lush fruit guiding you along the way. This wine goes perfectly with foods with umami flavors like burgers with bacon and Gorgonzola cheese or mom’s homemade meatloaf.
Rivers End Reserve Merlot
A wonderful wine from the River’s End winemakers with ripe berry fruit flavors and aromas with a nice touch of oak. An amazingly versatile choice for serving with grilled duck, turkey, chicken, braised lamb, pork or beef – and a nice partner for dishes featuring a rich tomato sauce.
A dedication to quality from the vineyard to the bottle is reflected in this “growers lot” wine from the central California winemakers of Kalder. Served with your favorite roasts or slow-simmered meat dishes, this bold, rich treat will add a special touch to everyday dining or your most important occasions. Deep purple in color, its aromas and flavors of ripe plum and wild berry are carried by soft tannins through a clean, flavorful finish.
Sierra Trails Old Vine Zinfandel
Coming to us from some of the oldest Zinfandel plantings in California, the Sierra Trails Old Vine Zinfandel is a complex wine offering aromas of ripe berry, dried plum and red currants. These remarkable fragrances are echoed in the flavoring where a hint tobacco, black pepper spice and sweet oak lifts the fruit and carry them through a lingering finish.
Cachil Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon
Colchagua Valley, Chile is home to many amazing wineries producing gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon, just like Cachil. This reserve offering from one of the premier Cabernet Sauvignon producing regions of Valle Central boasts beautiful flavors from this stunning vintage. Currants, raspberry, and cassis take the lead, followed by hints of cocoa. Enjoyably lighter in body than most cabs from this region, it has a medium body and a smooth silky finish. Chile is known for being innovative with wine over the last decade and this is a great example of why wines in from this region are a perfect fit for most occasions. It’s no wonder why Colchagua Valley was named Wine Region of the Year in 2005 by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
Leaping Horse Merlot
Who says Merlot isn't enjoyable? We think quite the contrary. When this iconic grape is crafted correctly it produces very delicious results. Now this textbook Merlot comes with a twist as 5% Cabernet Sauvignon is blended in to round out the wine and provide very enjoyable soft tannins and a smooth finish. Luscious fruit of plum and black cherry, with a pinch of fresh herbs round out the flavor profile. Because of its soft tannins and luscious fruit, Merlot is a delicious wine that’s food-friendly or can be savored by itself. It works with many types of meat or fowl, such as roast turkey or chicken, grilled blackened salmon, pasta with meat sauces, pork, grilled vegetables or a steak salad.
Backstory Sauvignon Blanc
Vibrant grapefruit and zesty citrus paired perfectly with green flavors and a refreshingly crisp and sharp mouthfeel. This latest vintage from Back Story will surely pass your expectations.
Ripe round flavors of fresh apple, peach, pear, and lemon, balanced with creamy overtones and slight touch of French oak. Pick up a few cheeses at the grocery store to pair with this California Chardonnay and add lasting memories whenever you like.
Hayton Family Reserve Chardonnay
It has a refreshing "say no to oak" style – bright and light with citrus, apple and tropical fruit aromas and flavors. A gentle acidity adds structure while allowing the delicate fruit flavors to shine. Versatile and food-friendly, it makes a good choice with seafood, poultry, or pasta dishes with butter-based sauces.
When you discover the power of Viognier's persuasion, you won't look back. If you love wines that are fruity with nice vibrancy and a beautifully floral nose, then MYTH is a Viognier you want to try. Flavors of peaches, apricots, Meyer lemons and hibiscus are paired with a nice minerality and lush finish. MYTH will make you fall in love with Viognier.
Qapay Reserve Sauvignon Blanc
Qapay Sauvignon Blanc is a classic example of what can be done with this popular variety in Central Chile. The grapes are exposed to wonderful sun and an almost greenhouse-like regularity of dry, hot days and dry, cool nights throughout the growing season--near perfect ripening conditions. The result is a clean, citrusy, lean and fresh wine. The nose is full of grapefruit and green apple followed by zesty flavors of green fruits, lime, and floral notes and a long, crisp finish. Outstanding as an aperitif or a cocktail wine, it is also ideal with salads using arugula, fennel, or roasted bell peppers, and is a refreshing companion for richer white meats like pork and lobster.
Bayshore Vintners Pinot Grigio
This lovely wine from Bayshore is produced from one of the first vineyards in California planted with Pinot Grigio that originally focused on dessert wines. That is until a wine importer, seeing the potential for table wines, used these grapes to launch a line of food-friendly table wines. Gorgeous aromas jump out of the glass and delicious flavors of melon, citrus and tangerine are completed by a refreshing thread of crisp acidity.
