2015 Cuvee Joelle Malbec et Merlot (x2)

Among the many noteworthy French grapes, two have become especially treasured for their stunning wines. Malbec has a dark, rustic nature, while Merlot features a soft, fruit forward, and herbaceous character. When blended, they craft a unique flavor. Cuvèe Joëlle fuses red plum, raspberry, blackberry, vanilla, and fresh herbs. This exciting red blend is meant to be paired with fun dishes like bacon-wrapped blue cheese stuffed dates, pungent cheeses, and bacon blue cheese burgers.

2013 Granite Ridge Pinotage (x2)

Pinotage has an interesting history. Originating as a genetically engineered hybrid of Pinot Noir and Cinsault (known as Hermitage in South Africa, thus the name), it came into existence back in the 1920s. Thinking the hybrid would make very good wine, the initial results were not good. If mishandled, Pinotage can make a wine that has notes of acetone, certainly not something anyone would think to drink. However, when handled well, it can make a truly unique light red wine. And if anyone in South Africa would know how to handle a grape, it would be Alex Dale and the Winery of Good Hope. Their work with the grape is a total success. It truly brings out the aspects of both of the parents of Pinotage. It has notes of cherry from Pinot Noir and some spiciness from the Cinsault. Equally important, Alex avoids anything that reminds someone of the bad parts of Pinotage. Part of this was using a very light crush and it was delicious. You'll taste some red cherries, violets and a nice juicy palate with balance, length and a bit of funky spice. Enjoy slightly chilled and you will easily able to drink a whole bottle.

2015 Tremo Maceracion Carbonica Tempranillo (x2)

Carbonic Maceration is a cutting edge winemaking method where a carbon dioxide rich environment is used to ferment juice inside the grape. This results in very fruity wines with very little mouth-drying tannins. While most popular in France, Bodega Luis Alegre is using Carbonic Maceration in Spain on masterfully grown Tempranillo and Viura grapes for a juicy wine with an aromatic nose of raspberry, cherry and slight violet notes. Soft acidity provides just enough balance for fresh fruit notes that meet licorice on the finish.

Cachil Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva (x2)

Chile’s Colchagua Valley is known for gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon, like this reserve offering from Cachil. Cachil Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon boasts beautiful flavors of currants, raspberry and cassis with hints of cocoa. It’s enjoyably lighter than the average cabernet, with a medium body and smooth finish. 

NV Cala De Poeti Rosso (x2)
Patience is a virtue, and so is this delicious Italian red wine. Open Cala de Poeti Rosso early, so that it has time to bring its inviting flavors of strawberry and raspberry to the forefront. The smooth red offers hints of herbs and roasted pepper, and really pops when paired with classic, tomato-based Italian dishes.

2015 Pretium Malbec (x2)

Made from 100% Malbec grapes, this elegant red seduces with summery notes of red and black fruits like raspberry, black currant, and blackberry. From southwest France’s Cahors region, smooth and fruity Pretium Malbec is delightful as an aperitif, and ready to be enjoyed with flavorful meat dishes like beef tajine, chicken curry, and spiced leg of lamb.
