Located 2 hours south of the bustling capital city of Santiago, the small growing region of Curicó in the Central Valley of Chile is home to some truly stunning Cabernets. Curicó has perfect soil composition and a beautiful Mediterranean climate that is ideal for crafting these stunning wines. Oleada Cabernet Sauvignon is our latest find with it shinning ruby red color. Fragrant aromas of blackcurrant flow throughout, the primary characteristic of Cabernet. Flavors of blackcurrant, cassis, cocoa, and oak stand strong with a firm backbone and a smooth tightly knit flavor and tannin structure. The finish is long and elegant representative of a beautifully made Cabernet Sauvignon
Chile’s Central Valley (Valle Central in Spanish) is the hot bed of the country’s burgeoning wine industry. The Kiyapura Cabernet is composed of grapes from two of the region’s vineyards. One is right near the gorgeous Maipo River and the other is in the cooler Maule region. The combination of the two vineyards results in a stunningly balanced wine. A bright ruby red, this wine has charming aromas of ripe red fruit and spices like black pepper with maybe even a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied with elegant tannins, there is no mistaking that this is a juicy red. Chocolate and red berries define the palate with a subtle of coffee in the finish. Brilliant.
This is a Cabernet Sauvignon that we are particularly excited about. Bringing you a barrel select vintage from California, this exclusive wine is very tasty. First off, we recommend opening it and walking way. I know, I know, it’s a difficult thing to do but letting it open up for 30 minutes allows this wine stretch its legs and really show its stuff. First pass with your nose brings enticing aromas ripe cherries, flowers, and cotton candy. After your nose has had its fill of this intriguing blend of aromatic flavors, it’s time take the first sip. Savor bright cherries, cassis, and ripe blackberries and contributes to a mouth feel that is full and pleasing with a smooth, easy going finish.
There is no argument that Cabernet is the leading grape in California’s wine portfolio. It grows perfectly in the Golden State and produces wines that are stunning. We carry quite a few Cabernets, but we sample hundreds every year and only a select few are chosen. Lone Vine Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of Cabernet fruit from across California, capturing nuisances from the regions that make this grape spectacular. Blackcurrant, cassis, cocoa, and vanilla flavors are delightfully intertwined to provide perfect sipping satisfaction.
